Rolando J. Portocarrero, CMA, was named senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer (CFO) in November 2008. In this position, Portocarrero is responsible for oversight for all financial operations, including analysis, reporting, regulatory filings, actuarial services, and underwriting.
Portocarrero has more than 20 years of managed care and health insurance experience – primarily in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut markets. During his career, Portocarrero also served as chief financial officer for Health Plus PHSP, Inc. in New York City, and as vice president of financial analysis, planning, and reporting for Health Net of the Northeast.
Portocarrero is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and holds a bachelor of science degree with a concentration in computer science, as well as a master’s of business administration degree with a concentration in finance and operations management from the Graduate School of Business of Rutgers University in Newark, NJ. He is also a certified management accountant (CMA).
