Quality Management
Comprehensive, Proactive Quality Management
CDPHP maintains a comprehensive, proactive quality management program to ensure that our members receive high-quality, cost-effective care and service. The program monitors key indicators and helps highlight opportunities for improvement. To be successful, it requires the participation and support of the CDPHP board of directors, all staff members, and our network of participating physicians.
Quality Management Program Evaluation
Please read the annual CDPHP Quality Management Program Evaluation summarizing CDPHP quality management activities for 2008. It provides an overview of the program structure and includes a detailed chart of accomplishments and trends.

Members Surveyed About Their Doctors
CDPHP conducts an annual satisfaction survey. Members who had had recent contact with their primary care physicians (PCPs) were randomly selected for participation in the survey, and they were contacted either by mail or telephone. One of the survey questions asked members to rank their overall satisfaction with their PCP on a scale of 0 (worst) to 10 (best). Overall, members reported a very high level of satisfaction with our participating PCPs. The percentage of members giving their doctor a rating of 8, 9, or 10 was calculated for each physician.
Member PCP Satisfaction Survey Results
These ratings are only based on previous customer experiences, are subjective in nature, and should not be the sole basis for selecting a physician, and are not clinical in nature, based on medical data, or a measure of clinical performance. We encourage you to read the survey disclaimer and
to talk to your physician before making any decisions based on these results.
Tell us what you think of the CDPHP Member PCP Satisfaction report. We invite you
to complete a brief survey to help us improve.
Physician Recognition,
Rewards and Reimbursement
CDPHP is committed to recognizing
and rewarding physicians who deliver high-quality, efficient care. Read about our
physician incentive programs and our recognition program for physicians who are
highly rated by our members.
Physician Recognition and Rewards
CDPHP provides reimbursement
to physicians and hospitals based on performance. If you would like information
on what percentage of the overall reimbursement to our physicians or hospitals is
based on performance, please
contact us. We cannot provide information
on individual physicians or hospitals.
Hospital Quality and Comparisons
CDPHP provides information
to our members on
hospital quality and patient safety to help members make informed decisions about where to receive care within our hospital network. All the information is submitted voluntarily.
As always, we encourage you to discuss this information with your physician before
