Resources to Support Your Journey into Parenthood

Whether you’re about to become a first-time parent or you already have children, CDPHP is here to help during your pregnancy.

As a CDPHP member, you have access to a variety of family planning and maternity benefits to support you through your pregnancy, and beyond. You can also take advantage of valuable programs and services to help you and your family live your healthiest lives:*

nutrition

The right nutrition is important for your health and the health of your baby. With the nutrition guide within the CDPHP Health Hub, powered by the Virgin Pulse you can schedule a virtual visit with a Foodsmart registered dietitian who will aid you in making sustainable improvements to your eating habits. You can also find healthy recipes, create grocery lists, and more.

Breastfeeding

Breastmilk is the perfect food for your baby and contains just the right amount of nutrients. Check out the Breastfeeding Support Guide for information about breast pumps, classes, and assistance.**

pregnancy reimbursement

Get reimbursed for completing parenting preparation classes. Eligible members can be reimbursed up to $75 for out-of-pocket expenditures for classes such as childbirth, newborn care, child and baby CPR, and more.

Get reimbursed for going to the gym. Eligible members can receive up to $400 for in-person fitness classes, online fitness classes, wearable devices, and parent and baby classes. Their covered dependents can earn up to a combined $200 – a total of $600 per family! The dependent portion can also be used for youth sports fees for covered dependents under age 18.

Get reimbursed for working with a doula before, during and/or after pregnancy and childbirth.* Eligible members can be reimbursed up to $1,500 for out-of-pocket costs related to in-person or virtual services provided by a certified and/or trained doula. For help finding a qualified doula, ask your doctor (or OBGYN) for their recommendation or check out the search tools at doulamatch.net or DONA International at dona.org. CafeWell

Participate in personalized healthy activities and challenges through the CDPHP Health Hub. Programs are tailored to your individual needs and goals, and focus on topics such as fitness, nutrition, mental health, step challenges, financial wellness, and more.

You can get support to kick the smoking habit for good through CDPHP Smoke-FreeTM  to keep yourself, your baby, and the rest of your family healthy.

Maintaining a healthy weight is important during and after your pregnancy. You have access to a number of weight management resources including a reimbursement for meeting with a registered dietitian or taking part in a qualified weight loss program.

Depression

Having a baby can be an emotional time. CDPHP is here to support your mental health needs, including help with prenatal depression. Call 1-888-320-9584 if you need assistance.

If your home was built before 1978, it could contain lead paint. Eliminate the risk of childhood lead poisoning before your baby is here with a preventive home lead assessment. Contact your local health department for more information or to schedule a home visit.
