CDPHP Cycle!

CDPHP CycleDebuting in the summer of 2017, CDPHP Cycle! underscores our commitment to improving the health and well-being of our community. Co-sponsored by Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA), the bike share program offers Capital Region residents a healthy, eco-friendly, and affordable transportation alternative.

Addressing Food Insecurity in the Community

The impact of hunger on health is significant, taking a toll on physical and mental health, as well as learning ability, particularly in children. In urban areas, it can be extremely difficult to access affordable fresh fruits and vegetables, leaving residents at risk for obesity, diabetes, and other nutrition-related conditions. That’s why CDPHP is sponsoring the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York’s Patroon Land Farm, which will grow and distribute a variety of produce to feed the poor and hungry.

Fitness in the Park

yoga in the parkCDPHP is taking its focus on fitness to the community by sponsoring Sunday morning yoga, boot camp, and Zumba classes at Riverfront Park in Troy from June 26 through August 28. We also offer free wellness and fitness classes at numerous locations in our service area throughout the year.

Supporting Individuals with Disabilities

Through our sponsorship of their employment program and Art of Independence event, we hope to enable individuals with disabilities due to birth trauma, accident, or illness to reach their full potential and find fulfillment in their work.

Fresh Produce on Wheels

Veggie MobileCDPHP is the primary corporate sponsor of the Capital Roots Veggie Mobile® and its smaller offshoot, the Capital Roots Veggie Mobile® Sprout. These colorful, one-of-a-kind “produce aisles on wheels” deliver fresh, nutritious, and affordable fruits and vegetables year-round to Capital District neighborhoods that lack a full-service grocery store or convenient transportation to stores offering fresh produce. The program’s objectives dovetail perfectly with our company’s goal of promoting health and wellness among our members and the community at large.

Preparing Students for Success

The program ensures that these students have the academic, mentoring, and financial support they need for success in college and beyond.
