Managed Care Pharmacy Residency Program
The CDPHP managed care pharmacy residency program provides a unique opportunity to engage in the advancement of the Quadruple Aim with a nationally ranked health plan, who is recognized as an innovator in practice transformation, payment reform, member experience, and the delivery of patient-centered care and services in both medical practices and the medical neighborhood.
Experiences will emphasize the Quadruple Aim, which builds on the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Triple Aim (the patient experience of care, population health & effectiveness and per capita cost efficiency) with the addition of provider satisfaction.
The resident will become knowledgeable of the various and changing aspects of managed care that impact health care delivery in the community. In addition to enhanced clinical practice experience, the resident will possess excellent written and verbal skills, and effectively demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate therapeutic recommendations to other health care professionals within an interdisciplinary care team.
Upon completion of the program, residents will have a thorough understanding of managed care pharmacy practice and be primed to be an emerging leader within the changing landscape of managed care and health care reform.
