ALBANY, N.Y. – April 16, 2019 – With less than one month until the Capital Region’s most popular annual road race, organizers of the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge are reminding runners that now is the time to register. Registrations for the race, which is set for Thursday, May 16 at the Empire State Plaza, are tracking far ahead of the last four years. It is once again expected to max out at 10,000 runners, so it’s important to register soon! Registration will close on April 30 or whenever the cap is reached.

Who's up for the Fundraising Challenge?

Each year, the event serves as an important fundraiser for two local non-profits, designated as the race’s Charities of Choice. Once again this year, the team that raises the most by race day for the chosen charities will win a valuable advertising package that includes an on-air interview with B95.5, company name and logo on the race website, race day recognition, as well as mentions in a race day press release and social media posts.

Participants in this year’s race will be raising funds for the Albany Damien Center and the Family Promise of the Capital Region. Teams and individuals are encouraged to donate at the time of registration.

The CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge is organized by and serves as an important fundraiser for the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC). In addition to raising funds for local charities, the race also helps to fund HMRRC’s college scholarships, grants, and free race programs for local youth.
